The City of Chattanooga has recently updated the sewer billing system. If you do not have an online account, you may pay your bill online as a guest. Please enter your account number and check out as a guest to process your payment.

Prior to creating a new online account, you will need to obtain your new billing ID number. This number will be located on your next billing statement. When you receive that bill, create a new profile with a username and password.

Please note that you can also make a payment with our automated phone system at 1-844-898-3672.

If you are unable to make a payment using your customer ID number, please contact 1-833-237-8064 for assistance. Any other needs or requests should be directed to 311.

Pay Sewer Fees

The Department of Public Works delivers a variety of services that Chattanooga's citizens rely on daily including; the City's infrastructure-its design, construction and maintenance; the interceptor sewer system and wastewater treatment facility; the storm water system and water quality; the collection and disposal of garbage, brush, recycling, and household hazardous waste; parks maintenance, programming and operations.

Chattanooga's Department of Public Works is Accredited by the American Public Works Association (APWA). Accredited in 2016, Chattanooga became the first public works department to receive full accreditation in the State of Tennessee. This means that the agency has proven that policies and procedures are developed and implemented to effectively and efficiently serve the public's need

What We Do:

Solid Waste & Recycling
Garbage collection, recycle collection, brush collection, leaf collection, and bulky trash collection, landfills, wood recycle facility, recycling convenience centers, and refuse convenience centers.

Parks
Operations, maintenance, and programming of City Parks.

Engineering
Construction and stormwater engineering including design, project management, inspection, surveying and also manages the City's GIS program.

Facilities Management oversees the management of city-owned building envelopes. 

Water Quality Program
Manages surface water quality including stormwater and potential pollutants that can enter our streams.

Street Maintenance
Construction and maintenance of roads, pothole repairs, snow and ice removal, right-of-way mowing, street sweeping and litter collection.

Wastewater
Operation of wastewater collection systems and Moccasin Bend Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Transportation

CDOT provides enhanced public space for a thriving community with safe, efficient, and accessible transportation options for all.

Urban Forestry
Plants, maintains, and manages the City's street trees and forest resource.
